Districtwide Overhead Aluminum Sign Replacement Project

  • Northbound US 1 south of Sheridan Street in Dania Beach
  • Southbound US 1 north of Dania Beach Boulevard in Dania Beach
Project Overview
The Florida Department of Transportation has awarded a $1.6 million contract to Florida Safety Contractors, Inc., to replace overhead aluminum signs throughout Broward, Palm Beach, and Martin counties. Construction will begin September 12th, 2016 and is expected to be completed by Summer 2017.

Traffic Impact *this information is subject to change due to inclement weather and other unforeseen conditions*
 The following lane closures are expected for each of the sign locations, unless otherwise noted below.
 One lane in each direction may be closed Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
 Two lanes may be closed Sunday through Thursday between the hours of 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. adjacent to the sign installation location.
